BOOKED! is a showcase for local bands and musical artists, offering and all-ages listening room in a cozy book-filled space. We book acts on most weekends. If you are a performing musician message us us about playing in the store!

Chess Club

Every Wednesday, 5 PM

All ages, all skill levels, all… star? Come and join us every Wednesday from 5 to close. People play chess downstairs, upstairs, anywhere you want. Probably not the bathroom.

Don’t know how to play? We’re glad to teach you! Every good chess nerd knows the only way to get better is to get beat… a lot.

Hook and Needle Club

Every Thursday, 5 PM

Do you knit? Crochet? Embroider? Weave? If it’s portable, creative, and involves thread or yarn, bring it on by. Make yourself comfortable wherever.

The store fills up with kind, collaborative, chill people and soft things and we love the cozy comfy vibe.

Midwest Writer's Guild

Second Tuesday of the Month, 5:30 - 6:30

The Midwest Writer’s Guild has been around a whole lot longer than we have, but have settled upstairs on the second Tuesday of every month.

Writers sometimes come a little early to work on their new pieces before the meeting starts, there’s usually a speaker to talk about a specific aspect of writing, and lots of peers want to talk to you about whatever you’re currently working on.
